Volunteer: Help Prepare and Distribute Family Food Boxes

Come join us Tuesday morning as we prepare family food boxes for distribution to 300+ families in need in our community. You may be bagging produce or meat, and/or creating a box of staples for each family.  Once the boxes are prepared, help load those boxes into the families' vehicle.  Expect a lot of repetitive standing, bending and lifting (20-25 pounds).  Most of the work is performed outdoors so volunteers should come dressed in weather appropriate clothing and closed toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals). For summer months a hat and sunscreen are recommended.  For winter months a hat, coat, and gloves are recommended. We start at 7:00 am till 11:00 am, or until food supplies run out.

Christian Benevolent Outreach Food Pantry utilizes a mobile food pantry delivery format.  Some volunteer opportunities will require direct contact with the families we serve. Any bi-lingual skills you possess are a plus!

Our address is 1804 P Avenue, Plano, TX 75074

Group or Teams: Groups of up to 12 are welcome to volunteer for this opportunity. Every person must be signed up on the portal as part of the team. Groups are not guaranteed to stay together during the shift. Instructions on how to sign up as a group can be found here.

Any unfilled spots on a team are released 10 calendar days before the shift date.
