Sprouts is hosting their annual SproutsCon event June 16th-18th. The trade show will be on Saturday, June 18th . We need help sorting the donations and load them up on our NTFB trucks.
Description: We are looking for volunteers to assist our Food Sourcing team with the gleaning, sorting, and wrapping of items from the trade show that vendors/exhibitors will be looking to donate!
Location: Hilton Anatole, 2201 N. Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, Texas 75207.
Age Requirements: According to safety guidelines, all attendees must be 18 years of age or older. All attendees must be registered for the volunteer event.
Attire: Closed-toe shoes are required (no sandals or flip flops). We recommend dressing in comfortable and casual clothes suitable for the season. Items that are not appropriate include revealing clothing or dangling accessories. Masks are strongly recommended if you are not vaccinated.
Commitment: Check in will starts at 2:30 p.m. and orientation will follow. We suggest arriving a few minutes prior to your shift. Thank you for being on time as we follow an agenda to be as productive as possible. Running late? If you are 10+ minutes late, you will not be able to volunteer. Need to cancel, here is how you can cancel? We appreciate you canceling your registration in a timely manner so we may offer the slots to other volunteers. If event is completed before the end of the shift, you will still be awarded for the entire shift.
Safety: We invite volunteers into our facility to help fight hunger and it is important that we maintain a safe environment. Volunteers are expected to comply with all rules, follow the directions given by station leaders, and immediately report any accidents to a staff member. Masks are strongly recommended if you are not vaccinated.
Accommodation Needs: This opportunity includes standing, bending, and potentially lifting 25-45 pounds. Please let us know if you have accommodation needs.
Tracking Hours: Any volunteer (youth or adult) needing to track hours for employer matches, school, scholarships, scouts, etc. must create their own account, sign up, and check in for every shift with a staff member. If you are not in our system, we cannot verify hours. If you check in through the Galaxy site or add your own hours, they will not be approved. By checking in with a staff member your hours will be entered in automatically. Our policy is to not sign any court-appointed service documents including time sheets.
