If you are not in our system, we cannot verify hours. The site coordinator will sign your hour sheets at the end of the volunteer shift. Our policy is to not sign any court-appointed service documents including time sheets. Starting on June 10, 2021, drive time to the event will be included in your volunteer services hours. Help unload, set up and distribute food directly to clients in an outside environment. Volunteers must have good verbal skills and physically be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop and lift at least 40 pounds repeatedly throughout their shift. Courtesy, patience, and helpfulness are expected!
Jobs may include the following: Direct traffic in the parking lot. Loading food boxes and bags of produce in vehicles. Assist with event set up and clean up. Other site-specific duties.Attire: Closed-toe shoes are required (no sandals or flip flops). We recommend dressing in comfortable and casual clothes suitable for the season. We recommend sunscreen, bug spray, sunglasses, work gloves, and hats. If you have your own safety vest then feel free to bring it; but if you don't then we will provide some onsite. Commitment: For this specific site, we begin distributing food to seniors promptly at 8:30am, which means we are counting on you to arrive at the earliest 8:00am to help prepare for distribution. Our hungry neighbors are counting on you to stay for the entire shift. If you are unable to complete the full shift, please log into your account to cancel your registration.
