Who We Are

Founded in 1982, the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a nonprofit hunger relief organization that distributes donated and purchased foods through a network of more than 200 Partner Agencies in 13 counties. NTFB service area includes: Dallas, Denton, Collin, Fannin, Rockwall, Hunt, Grayson, Kaufman, Ellis, Navarro, Lamar, Delta, and Hopkins.

Our Vision

A hunger-free, healthy North Texas.

Our Mission

To close the hunger gap in North Texas by providing access to nutritious food.

Our Effectiveness

Every dollar donated to NTFB provides access to three healthy meals for hungry North Texans, and 95 percent of our resources go directly to hunger relief programs.

What We Do

Serving low-income seniors throughout 13-counties.

The North Texas Food Bank directly partners with the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) to distribute a senior food box program called CSFP (Commodity Supplemental Food Program), locally known as PAN (People and Nutrition).  If eligible, a participant can receive a pre-packaged box of non-perishables once a month provided by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) at one of the multiple distribution sites. Each month, those who are 60 years and above can receive an estimated 35 lbs of USDA commodities.
